Claire Whitaker is a Director of Serious, the awarding winning producer of live music working across the UK and Internationally. Learning and Participation and the development of musicians are at the heart of Serious. Claire is currently Chair of the Royal Commonwealth Society, the leading civil society organisation across the Commonwealth and helped to found the Caine Prize for African Writing. Previously she was Director of Africa 95, a cross-arts celebration of the art of Africa which took place across the UK and the African continent with President Nelson Mandela as its patron.
